Gorakhpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and highlighted India's development journey, faith, and heritage during the closing ceremony of the Gita Press Centenary celebrations in Gorakhpur. Adityanath referred to Modi as the 'architect' of New India, emphasizing his role in elevating India's global standing.

The Chief Minister acknowledged Modi's contribution to promoting yoga globally. He mentioned that on Modi's suggestion, the United Nations designated June 21 as World Yoga Day, with 180 countries now practicing yoga and expressing gratitude towards India.

Adityanath emphasized that under Modi's leadership, India's reputation in international forums has improved. The Prime Minister's popularity across the globe has instilled a sense of national pride and motivated people to advance. Adityanath recited verses from the Gita to convey that the world follows the example set by great leaders like Modi.

The Chief Minister further highlighted the recognition of Kumbh-2019 by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage and the ongoing restoration and construction of significant religious sites such as the Vishwanath Dham in Kashi, Kedarpuri in Kedarnath, Mahakal lok in Ujjain, and the grand temple of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya.

Adityanath emphasized the progress made in Uttar Pradesh and Gorakhpur under Modi's guidance. He mentioned the revival of a closed fertilizer factory in Gorakhpur, the establishment of AIIMS for healthcare accessibility, and the opening of the ICMR regional center for research in Gorakhpur to combat diseases like encephalitis. He also highlighted the transformation of Ramgarhtal into a beautiful lake and the improved connectivity through increased flight services and the inauguration of the Vande Bharat train between Gorakhpur and Lucknow.

The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to Modi for attending the Gita Press Centenary celebrations, a historic event where the Prime Minister also awarded the Gandhi Peace Prize to Gita Press. Adityanath believed that this honor extended to all of India's heritage, marking a momentous occasion for the nation.
