Omega Seiki Mobility Introduces Stream City Electric Auto-Rickshaw In India At Rs 1.85 lakh, 117 Km Range
Omega Seiki Mobility has taken a significant step towards revolutionizing urban mobility in India with the launch of their latest electric auto-rickshaw, the OSM Stream City. The company unveiled two variants of the OSM Stream City: the OSM Stream City ATR, which features a swappable battery, and the Stream City 8.5, which comes with a fixed battery. The ex-showroom prices for these variants are Rs 1.85 Lakhs and Rs 3.01 Lakhs, respectively.
With this launch, Omega Seiki Mobility expands its portfolio of electric passenger mobility options, catering to both rural and urban settings. The OSM Stream City joins the OSM Stream and OSM Stream ATR, providing a complete range of 3W (three-wheeler) solutions for cargo and passenger transportation. This strategic move aligns with the company's commitment to offering innovative products and staying ahead of the competition.
Mr. Uday Narang, the Founder and Chairman of Omega Seiki Mobility, emphasized the company's focus on continuous innovation and their dedication to passenger vehicles. He stated that the OSM Stream City is a testament to their commitment and revealed plans to increase production fivefold, aiming to sell over 10,000 electric 3Ws in FY24.
The OSM Stream City boasts an optimal seating configuration of 3+1, ensuring a spacious and comfortable environment for passengers. It is equipped with a sophisticated lithium-ion battery system, offering a power supply of 48V and a capacity of 8.5 kWh for the fixed battery variant and 6.3 kWh for the swappable battery variant.
Performance-wise, the OSM Stream City impresses with a peak power output of 9.55 kW and a peak torque of 430 Nm. It features state-of-the-art automatic transmission for seamless and effortless driving. The suspension system is meticulously designed to prioritize occupant comfort, incorporating dampeners, helical springs at the front, and rubber dampeners with shock absorbers at the rear.
The OSM Stream City also prioritizes charging convenience. It provides home charging infrastructure, offering unparalleled convenience to owners. Additionally, the swappable battery variant allows for easy exchange of depleted batteries with fully charged ones, eliminating the need for charging infrastructure and minimizing downtime.
