Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to devise the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) blueprint for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections during his visit to Karnataka. B Y Vijayendra, the President of the state's BJP unit, revealed that Shah would host meetings with party leaders in Karnataka to deliberate on various facets of the election strategy.

Shah's agenda encompasses participation in the Sutturu Jathra (fair) in Sutturu and paying homage at the Chamundeshwari temple atop Chamundi hills. He will also engage in discussions with members of the state BJP core committee and leaders from the Mysuru cluster. These deliberations aim to formulate strategies aimed at bolstering the BJP's electoral standing in the forthcoming polls.

The pivotal discussions are anticipated to center around the BJP's coalition with the Janata Dal (Secular) [JD(S)] and the synchronization between the grassroots workers and leaders of both parties. Additionally, the allocation of seats to the regional party will be a key agenda item.

Vijayendra emphasized the imperative of fostering harmony between BJP and JD(S) workers to optimize electoral outcomes. The collaborative efforts of both parties underscore a strategic endeavor to secure victories across all constituencies.

With respect to seat-sharing negotiations, Vijayendra underscored ongoing talks between the BJP and JD(S). Addressing inquiries regarding specific constituencies, including Mandya, where there is speculation surrounding Sumalatha Ambareesh's candidacy, Vijayendra clarified that decisions on such matters would be taken by the party's leadership in Delhi.

Furthermore, Vijayendra criticized the Congress for its "My Tax, My Right" campaign, which alleges injustice by the central government in tax devolution and grants to the state. He contended that the campaign seeks to divert attention from the failures of the state Congress government.
