The Chief Minister of Delhi, Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, said in a press conference that he is proud of himself and is going to jail for the sake of his country. Arvind Kejriwal was arrested earlier this year because of the Delhi liquor police case but was granted interim bail to carry out his campaign for the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. Arvind Kejriwal declared that any attempt to silence him would prove to be worthless.

Arvind Kejriwal further said that he was tortured in jail in many ways. "My medicines were stopped; I don’t know why these people did that or what they wanted. My weight was 70 kg when I was arrested; today it is 64 kg. Even after being released, I have not gained weight. Doctors have indicated that this can also be a sign of some serious illness, and many tests need to be done.”

Arvind Kejriwal stated that he will leave his house to surrender on June 2 at around 3 p.m. "It is possible they may torture me more, but I will not bow down. No matter where I am, inside or outside the jail, I will not stop the welfare of Delhi. I will soon start providing ₹1,000 to my mothers and sisters," said Arvind Kejriwal.

Arvind Kejriwal also asked the people to pray for his mother, as she is unwell. The Chief Minister of Delhi was granted interim bail by the Supreme Court of India until June 1 so that he could continue his campaigning for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. Arvind Kejriwal has continued his campaign in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Delhi, and Maharashtra after being released.

Arvind Kejriwal claimed that he was sick and wanted to extend the period of his interim bail, to which ED replied that Arvind Kejriwal was fit for his campaigns but is now sick as he is about to return to jail. It is now a huge question mark: will the bail of Arvind Kejriwal be extended or will he have to return to Tihar jail on June 2?
