Ayodhya is poised to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 30 for the inauguration of the newly constructed Ayodhya Dham railway station and airport. Renamed Ayodhya Dham Junction, the railway station aligns with public sentiments and the Prime Minister's guidance. The city is abuzz with preparations, not only for these infrastructural additions but also for the historic inauguration of the Ram Mandir on January 22, 2024, a ceremony anticipated to draw millions of devotees worldwide.
The Ayodhya Dham railway station, a blend of ancient and modern architecture, resembles a majestic temple adorned with domes, pillars, arches, and murals depicting the life and glory of Lord Ram. Equipped with modern amenities like lifts, escalators, tourist information centers, and medical facilities, the station promises a comfortable travel experience. The refurbishment and upgrade of platforms, signboards, and other infrastructure contribute to the overall convenience for passengers.
The airport, located 25 km from the city, is ready to operate both domestic and international flights. This development is expected to enhance Ayodhya's connectivity and accessibility, amplifying its standing as a pilgrimage and tourism destination. Moreover, the airport will facilitate the movement of dignitaries and VIPs attending the Ram Mandir inauguration.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is personally overseeing arrangements for the Prime Minister's visit and the temple ceremony. With a focus on adherence to Covid-19 protocols and guidelines, he has called upon the people of Ayodhya and Uttar Pradesh to cooperate with the administration, emphasizing the importance of maintaining peace and harmony during these significant events.
Gaurav Dayal, the district magistrate of Ayodhya, disclosed that the administration is gearing up for a substantial influx of visitors post the temple inauguration. Estimates suggest that around 50,000 to 55,000 people will visit Ayodhya daily after January 22. The administration is actively making arrangements for their accommodation, transportation, security, and sanitation.
The combined inauguration of the Ayodhya Dham railway station, airport, and the Ram Mandir marks a pivotal moment in Ayodhya's history and culture. Revered as the birthplace of Lord Ram and the capital of his kingdom, Ayodhya is set to symbolize India's rich heritage, spirituality, and progress, ushering in a new chapter for the city and the nation as a whole.
