Ayushman Bhava Campaign

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is gearing up to launch the 'Ayushman Bhava' campaign across the state on September 17, with President Droupadi Murmu inaugurating the campaign at the national level via a virtual event.

This extensive campaign has been strategically divided into five components, each with a unique focus and purpose. The first part, 'Seva Pakhwada,' will span from September 17 to October 2, coinciding with the commencement of 'Ayushman Apke Dwar 3.0.' During Seva Pakhwada, a cleanliness campaign will be initiated, targeting all public health facilities at primary, secondary, and tertiary levels. The initiative will receive support from Gram Panchayat members, JAS (Jan Arogya Samiti), and RKS (Rogi Kalyan Samiti).

Additionally, the campaign will involve the organization of voluntary blood donation camps to raise awareness about the importance of regular voluntary blood donation. It will also emphasize the significance of organ donation and encourage people to pledge their organs after death.

'Ayushman Apke Dwar 3.0' is a critical aspect of the campaign, aimed at ensuring that every eligible beneficiary under the 'Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY)' scheme receives an Ayushman card. The previous iterations, 'Ayushman Apke Dwar 1.0' and 'Ayushman Apke Dwar 2.0,' laid the foundation for this effort, allowing individuals to register themselves. The card manufacturing process will involve various stakeholders, including FLWs (Frontline Workers), Fair Price Shops, card manufacturing agencies, volunteers, and social workers. Door-to-door e-KYC (Know Your Customer) and card delivery services will be available, with District Magistrates overseeing the program. Asha workers, Panchayati Raj frontline workers, and self-help groups will be supported in activities related to e-KYC and information, education, and communication (IEC) for card manufacturing.

The 'Ayushman Mela' component will feature health fairs held every Saturday and Sunday at Health and Wellness Centers and Community Health Centers. These fairs aim to optimize healthcare service utilization, provide a platform for community concerns, and promote positive behavioral changes through collective wellness activities. They will offer screening, diagnosis, and various healthcare services, including specialized and tertiary care.

'Ayushman Sabha,' beginning on October 2, will raise awareness about health schemes and services. These gatherings will be conducted at the village and ward levels, distributing Ayushman cards and disseminating information about eligible beneficiaries, ongoing treatments, and participating hospitals. Special health discussions will focus on non-communicable diseases, tuberculosis, sickle cell disease, and strategies for disease eradication. They will also facilitate the creation of Abha IDs.

Furthermore, 'Ayushman Gram Panchayat' and 'Ayushman Urban Wards' will recognize villages and wards that achieve various parameters by March 2024, encouraging communities to actively participate in healthcare initiatives. This comprehensive campaign underscores the Uttar Pradesh government's commitment to improving healthcare access and awareness throughout the state.
