Bangladesh emerged victorious in a thrilling third ODI encounter against Sri Lanka, securing a 2-1 series win. The match witnessed a remarkable display of batting prowess from Rishad Hossain, whose aggressive innings of 48 runs, coupled with Tanzid Hasan Tamim's impressive 84 off 81 balls, propelled Bangladesh to chase down Sri Lanka's target of 235 with ease.

Despite facing a modest target, Bangladesh showcased dominance in their batting performance, reaching 237-6 in just 40.2 overs. Rishad's unbeaten innings, characterized by four sixes and five fours, turned the tide in Bangladesh's favor, alongside Mushfiqur Rahim's pivotal contribution of 37 runs.

In the earlier innings, Sri Lanka posted a competitive total of 235 all out, largely attributed to Janith Liyanage's unbeaten century. However, Bangladesh's bowlers, led by Taskin Ahmed's 3-42, effectively contained the Sri Lankan batsmen. Despite promising starts from skipper Kusal Mendis and Charith Asalanka, Sri Lanka faltered in the middle overs, unable to capitalize on their initial momentum.

Tanzid Hasan Tamim's impactful performance at the beginning of the innings also significantly contributed to Bangladesh's successful chase. His aggressive approach, despite facing challenges posed by Lahiru Kumara's bowling, laid a solid foundation for Bangladesh's pursuit of victory.

Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto commended the contributions of Tanzid and Mushfiqur, emphasizing the resilience displayed by the bowlers on a challenging pitch. With the ODI series concluded, focus now shifts to the upcoming two-match Test series between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, scheduled to commence in Sylhet.

Bangladesh's triumph in the ODI series highlights their growing stature in international cricket, underscoring their ability to compete at the highest level. While Sri Lanka will aim to regroup and bounce back in the Test matches, Bangladesh's victory serves as a testament to their evolving prowess on the cricketing stage.
