Bhagavanth Kesari Movie Review: Nandamuri Balakrishna Is Not Just Mass, He's Now A Messenger Of Emotion
Anil Ravipudi, known for his fun-filled directorial style, ventures into new territory with 'Bhagwant Kesari,' a departure from his comedy-centered films. This film seeks to strike a balance between action and humor, particularly with Balayya Babu in the lead role. The challenge lies in presenting a mass action hero like Balayya in a comedic avatar, and the film aims to see how this unique blend is received by the audience.
Nandamuri Balakrishna's films typically revolve around elements like faction drama, flashbacks, revenge, and family sentiment, adding local spices to a familiar story. Nelakonda Bhagwant Kesari (Balakrishna), a wild child, yearns to fulfill his daughter's dreams, despite not being a biological father, with Kanchi (Kajal Aggarwal) assisting in making this dream come true. The antagonist, Rahul Sanghi (Arjun Rampal), plays the role of the villain.
Anil Ravipudi aims to present this straightforward narrative with an entertaining twist in a contest where the motto is "A girl should not be a burden; she should be a tiger's child." The story unfolds as Bhagwant Kesari helps Vijjipapa, who has been emotionally scarred by life's events, regain her strength. Departing from the conventional narrative style, the film begins in Mumbai and subsequently shifts to Warangal. Within the initial 15 minutes, it introduces Bhagwant Kesari's character and sets the stage for the story, showcasing a fresh portrayal of Balayya.
