The Congress party, led by senior MP Rahul Gandhi, has announced the renaming of its upcoming yatra from Manipur to Mumbai as the "Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra." The party aims to unite leaders from the INDIA alliance during this journey, covering 15 states, 110 districts, and 100 Lok Sabha seats, totaling 6,713 km in about 66-68 days. Originally planned for 6,200 km across 14 states, the route has now been expanded to include Arunachal Pradesh.
The logistical details of the yatra were finalized during a three-hour meeting attended by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, AICC general secretaries, state in-charges, state Congress presidents, and Congress Legislature Party leaders. Congress communications chief Jairam Ramesh announced that the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra welcomes participation from INDIA alliance parties, Congress allies in various states, and civil society organizations.

The yatra, set to commence soon, will spend the most significant portion of its journey, 11 days, in Uttar Pradesh. It will traverse through key constituencies, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Varanasi, Sonia Gandhi's Rae Bareli, and Rahul Gandhi's former seat Amethi, currently represented by Union Minister Smriti Irani.
In contrast to the previous Bharat Jodo Yatra, this journey will not have a permanent group of Congress workers marching with Rahul. Yatris will walk 8-9 km daily, covering approximately 80 km by bus. Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to deliver two speeches each day during the yatra.

Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge emphasized the importance of leadership development in constituencies dominated by Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and minorities. He urged leaders to ensure the protection of eligible voters from these communities and mobilize migrant voters to return home for voting.
The detailed route includes states like Manipur, Nagaland, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra, concluding in Mumbai on March 20 after covering 480 km across six districts. The yatra aims to create momentum for the Congress party and build support for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
