BYD Auto India has made a significant entry into the Indian passenger vehicle segment with the launch of its latest offering, the Seal electric sedan. With three variants - Dynamic, Premium, and Performance - the Seal aims to cater to a wide range of consumers, offering a blend of performance, technology, and style. The pricing for the Seal electric sedan starts from Rs 41.00 lakh, going up to Rs 53.00 lakh (ex-showroom), making it a competitive option in the electric vehicle market.

Design and Dimensions: The Seal electric sedan boasts a sleek and stylish design, resembling a four-door coupe, and is built on the same platform as the Atto 3 SUV. With dimensions measuring 4,800 mm in length, 1,875 mm in width, and 1,460 mm in height, along with a wheelbase of 2,920 mm, the Seal offers ample space and a commanding presence on the road.
Interior Features: Inside the cabin, the Seal impresses with a modern digital layout on the dashboard, featuring two free-standing screens for the infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster. The touchscreen can be adjusted between portrait and landscape orientations, offering flexibility and convenience to the driver and passengers.
Advanced Safety and Technology: Equipped with a host of advanced safety features, the Seal prioritizes the well-being of its occupants. With nine airbags, traction control, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and a range of convenience features such as powered driver and co-driver seats, heated and ventilated seats, a 15.6-inch touchscreen, and dual-zone climate control, the Seal ensures a comfortable and secure driving experience. Higher variants offer additional features like a heads-up display, torque vectoring system, and memory functions for the door mirrors and driver seat, enhancing convenience and luxury.
Powertrain Options: The Seal offers versatility in its powertrain options, with both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations available. The rear-wheel-drive variants come with either a 201 bhp and 310 Nm option in the base Dynamic trim or a more powerful 308 bhp and 360 Nm option in the premium variant. The top-tier performance trim offers an all-wheel-drive powertrain producing a combined 523 bhp and 670 Nm, along with adaptive dampers for enhanced driving dynamics.

Battery and Range: In terms of battery options, the Seal offers a standard range variant equipped with a 61.44 kWh battery pack, providing a range of up to 510 km. For those seeking more power and range, the higher variants and AWD models feature a larger 82.56 kWh battery, offering up to 650 km of range for the RWD model and 580 km for the AWD model (NEDC figures).
