The leader of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Chirag Paswan, registered his third consecutive victory in the recent Lok Sabha elections. He marked this remarkable achievement with a strong debut speech in Parliament on Wednesday. Representing the Hajipur constituency, Chirag Paswan did not hold back as he viciously criticized the opposition regarding the contentious issue of the Deputy Speaker.

Paswan began his speech by congratulating Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, praising him for encouraging new MPs and women during the 17th Lok Sabha.
He shed light on the fact that there are a lot of young members and women in his party, and he hopes that the Lok Sabha Speaker, Om Birla, will continue this support in his new term as well.

Transitioning to the main topic, Paswan lambasted the opposition for their persistent demands regarding the Deputy Speaker position.
He said that both the Speaker and Deputy Speaker are from the opposition in all the states that are governed by them and pointed out the double standards. With this statement, Chirag Pawan was trying to paint the opposition as hypocrites, and after stating such valid points, he might have even succeeded in his quest.
