Ramotsav 2024

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed the divine significance of the upcoming consecration program, highlighting the powerful medium that the Ramlila stage has become to convey the Lord's pastimes to the public. In an event at the Ayodhya Research Institute, he inaugurated the Ramlila, emphasizing its unique charm due to the involvement of motherly powers portraying all characters. This, he believes, will serve as a source of new inspiration for the people.

In a special acknowledgment, Chief Minister Adityanath urged the local administration to call and honor the Ramlila hymn singers, showcasing the cultural richness of Uttarakhand. Welcoming the sisters from Uttarakhand, he extended an invitation for the team to participate in the upcoming Deepotsav.

The Uttarakhand group, comprising about 400 women artists, holds special significance in this grand event. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath personally met with the artists, offering encouragement and recognizing their valuable contributions.

Highlighting the global importance of Ayodhya under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, Chief Minister Adityanath mentioned that, for the first time in the history of Ramlilas, invitations were extended to six countries, including Indonesia, Thailand, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, and other states. This initiative aims to showcase the cultural richness of Ramlilas and promote international cooperation in preserving and celebrating this cultural heritage.

Reflecting on the historical context, Chief Minister Adityanath drew parallels to Saint Tulsidas using Lord Ram to create awareness during a period of foreign invasions and enslavement. Tulsidas's unwavering devotion to Ram, as depicted through Ramlilas, became a source of inspiration for the people, transcending political and social challenges. He emphasized that the grand and divine Ram Temple in Ayodhya, under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, is garnering global attention and appreciation.

The event also witnessed the presence of Minister in-charge of Ayodhya Surya Pratap Shahi and General Secretary of Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust Champat Rai, among others. The Chief Minister's address highlighted the cultural significance of Ramlilas, portraying them not only as artistic performances but as powerful mediums for cultural expression and global harmony.
