CM Yogi Inaugurates New Anand Lok Hospital, Praises Ayushman Bharat Scheme

Gorakhpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's double-engine government in providing improved healthcare facilities to the common man, the poor, and the weaker sections. During the inauguration of the newly constructed New Anand Lok Hospital in Gorakhpur, the CM highlighted the government's commitment to connecting every district in the state with a medical college.

Acknowledging the importance of private sector involvement in the healthcare sector, CM Yogi emphasized that relying solely on the government is not enough to achieve success. He noted that the Ayushman Bharat scheme, launched by PM Modi, has significantly improved access to treatment for the underprivileged, enabling them to receive medical care in government, medical colleges, private, and corporate hospitals.

CM Yogi reflected on the state of the healthcare system in eastern Uttar Pradesh six years ago, mentioning the degradation of the BRD Medical College in Gorakhpur. However, he highlighted the government's efforts in establishing super specialty services at BRD Medical College and the establishment of AIIMS in Gorakhpur. He also commended the private sector's contribution to providing quality medical care.
