Colors' new fiction drama 'Junooniyatt' features a love story intertwined with music.
In the upcoming fiction release from COLORS, "Junooniyatt," three hopefuls who must choose between love and their aspirations use music as their saviour, anchor, and destination. The programme follows the heart-wrenching emotional and passionate journey of three different people: Elahi (played by Neha Rana), Jahaan (played by Ankit Gupta), and Jordan (played by Gautam Vig). While Jordan is driven by the desire to rule the music industry, Elahi and Jahaan are engrossed in the magic of love and musical notes. The show, which is produced by Dreamiyata Entertainment and is only available on COLORS from Monday through Friday at 8:30 p.m., debuted on February 13th.
Elahi, a friendly young woman with classical training, Jahaan, a music-loving loner with trust issues, and Jordan, a gifted rapper who is consumed with music, are the main characters of "Junooniyatt." The three aspiring singers register in a music school as their unique dreams are sparked by an upcoming singing competition. Jahaan wants to fight for his family's rights while Elahi wants to reconcile with her mother, who abandoned her when she was a child. Jordan, a showy and spoiled brat who is 24 years old and has a point to make with his father, is the opposite. Elahi and Jahaan are developing a romance, but Jordan is working behind the scenes to break them apart because he has a cynical desire to dominate music and win Elahi over.
"Junooniyatt is a romantic drama that portrays the lives of three budding singers, each of whom has their own motives for pursuing music," explains producer Sargun Mehta. The show portrays a unique love triangle and is set in Tricity, Chandigarh, which is home to outstanding musicians. Viewers will appreciate witnessing the romance and drama in this exciting new-age tale. Ravie Dubey continues, "The three characters all love music, but they all have quite distinct personalities. Because the protagonists are pursuing their aspirations and finding love is only around the corner, viewers will find them sympathetic. As COLORS is our third partnership, we anticipate receiving a lot of positive feedback from viewers.
Ankit Gupta, who is thrilled to be playing the role of Jahaan, adds, "COLORS and Dreamiyata Entertainment have a successful history together, and I'm pleased to be working with them. Bigg Boss 16 gave the viewers a chance to get to know me better, and I'm eager to rekindle that connection with them through this new fiction show centered on music.
"Stepping aboard Junooniyatt, a music-based love story, was a no-brainer for me," says Gautam Singh Vig. I'm still in shock over the adoration I received for my time on Bigg Boss 16, and I intend to return part of it by making Jordan come to life for them in this new program.
The show, which is set in the picturesque city of Chandigarh, has two actors from the cast of "Bigg Boss 16" in the roles of Jahaan and Jordan, as well as well-known performer Neha Rana in the character of Elahi.
So watch Junooniyat, a heart-warming tale of music, love, emotions and passion, every Monday to Friday at 8:30 pm only on COLORS
