Cristiano Ronaldo has shown again why he is considered one of the finest goalscorers football has ever seen after scoring a stunning hattrick in Al Nassr's 8-0 win over Abha in the Saudi Pro League at Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium. He is in excellent goal-scoring form, as this was his second hat trick in just 4 days, and when you consider that he is 39, his output seems even more special.

Cristiano Ronaldo was at his brilliant best in the first half, as all three of his goals came in the span of 45 minutes. He scored a wonderful free kick that went under the wall and into the back of the net in just 11 minutes, and just 10 minutes later, when the score was still 1-0, he doubled the lead for his time and scored his second goal of the night with another well-taken free kick. The ball went through the gap in the wall, which left the goalkeeper helpless. His two freekicks took his career total to 63, which is just two less than his eternal rival Lionel Messi, who is on 65 freekick goals right now.

Cristiano Ronaldo was not just lethal with his goal-scoring prowess; he also turned into a provider and gave a stunning assist to former Liverpool and Bayern Munich winger Sadio Mane. When fans thought they had seen all of Ronaldo on the night, he announced that he wasn't done yet just before halftime, and in the 42nd minute, he showed his technical quality when he chipped the goalkeeper from outside the box to complete his 65th career hattrick. In this hat trick, Ronaldo scored all of his goals from outside the box, which is something Lionel Messi has never done in his illustrious career.

Not satisfied with a hat trick and an assist in the first half, Cristiano Ronaldo continued to dazzle and create chances for his teammates to score. In the 44th minute, he set up Abdulmajeed Al-Sulaiheem, which made it a 5-goal contribution for the Portuguese in the opening 45 minutes.

Cristiano Ronaldo was substituted off at halftime, but it didn't stop Al Nassr's dominance. Portuguese midfielder Otavio took charge and provided an assist to Abdulrahman Ghareeb, who finished it off clinically in the top corner. Half-time substitute Abdulaziz Al-Aliwa also scored a brace, sealing a dominant win for Al Nassr, who are still 12 points behind their arch-rivals and table leaders, Al Hilal.

Cristiano Ronaldo extended his lead at the top of the goal-scoring charts with this immaculate hat trick and is now the front-runner to win the top goalscorer award of the Saudi Pro League with 29 goals. His closest competitor is Aleksandar Mitrović, who is currently on 22 goals.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Al Nassr will look to continue their great form and continue chasing Al Hilal at the top of the table. Their next opponent will be Damac, who currently sits at 7th in the league.
