Delhi BJP Organized A Series Of 70 Jan Chetna Sabhas To Protest Against Corruption

New Delhi, May 16: The 21st Jan Chetna Sabha was held at Laxmi Nagar Vidhansabha as part of the series of 70 Jan Chetna Sabhas organized by the Delhi BJP. The meeting was attended by BJP leaders, including Shri Radha Mohan Singh, Shri Virendra Sachdeva, and Shri Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, along with local MLA Shri Abhay Verma, Delhi BJP General Secretary Shri Dinesh Pratap Singh, corporators, business organizations, R.W.A. Office bearers, and local citizens.

Shri Radha Mohan Singh accused Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of not implementing public welfare schemes in Delhi due to political malice. He highlighted the recent civic elections in Uttar Pradesh, where Kejriwal's candidates had their deposits forfeited, indicating a rejection of Kejriwal's claims of success.

Shri Singh criticized the Aam Aadmi Party government, stating that corruption has escalated across all departments in Delhi. He emphasized that Kejriwal, who emerged from an anti-corruption movement, has failed to live up to the expectations of the people, particularly the Purvanchal community and laborers during the Covid period.

Delhi BJP President Shri Virendra Sachdeva accused Kejriwal of engaging in corrupt politics, surpassing even the Congress party. He mentioned how Congress leaders, whom Kejriwal had accused of corruption, are now fighting corruption cases against Kejriwal himself.

Shri Sachdeva questioned why Delhi residents are forced to pay exorbitant prices for electricity and water, despite Kejriwal's promises of affordable utilities. He attributed this situation to Kejriwal's vote bank politics and criticized the lack of transparency.

Leader of Opposition Shri Ramvir Singh Bidhuri criticized the Kejriwal government for neglecting the people's issues in the Vidhan Sabha and using it solely for self-praise. He alleged a scam in the construction of a temporary hospital during the Covid period, which is currently under investigation. He also mentioned unfulfilled promises regarding buses, mohalla clinics, and the closure of schools by the Kejriwal government.

Shri Abhay Verma highlighted the non-formation of the Trans Yamuna Development Board, accusing Kejriwal of conspiring against the development of Yamunapar. He claimed that despite electing BJP representatives, the people of Yamunapar are being punished by the Kejriwal government.

Overall, the BJP leaders criticized the Kejriwal government for its alleged corruption, unfulfilled promises, and failure to prioritize the welfare of the people of Delhi.
