Sonu Sood is debuting as a director, producer, and writer with Fateh, an action-packed thriller that delves into the world of cybercrime. The film, hitting theatres today, showcases Sonu's versatility and highlights a relevant issue in today's digital age.

Storyline

The story is set in a small village in Punjab, where Fateh (Sonu Sood) runs a modest dairy farm. He lives as a tenant in Nimrit's (Shivjyoti Rajput) house. Nimrit helps various people to take loans through a loan app. But things take an ugly turn when she becomes a victim of a fake loan app scam and disappears. Fateh starts searching for Nimrit and spots an evil cyber mafia led by Raza (Naseeruddin Shah) and Satya Prakash (Vijay Raaz). Fateh is destined to meet with the great hacker Khushi, to defeat the cyber-criminals, and save Nimrit.

Positive Points

Sonu Sood has done a great job as Fateh, especially in the intense fight scenes. The movie's central theme of cybercrime is very relevant and thought-provoking. The action sequences are well-choreographed, and Arijit Singh's song Fateh Kar Fateh is a highlight. Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Raaz, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya have added depth to the narrative despite having less screen time.

Negative Points

Some parts lack a direction that will affect the narration. The film looks like Naseeruddin Shah's is wasted because there is not even an inch of screen space allocated to him. The rest of the cast that has come are talented, yet they have no scope for exhibition. Rest of the sound tracks does not get an impact.

Verdict Over

The effort from Sonu Sood in the form of Fateh does tell a tale on cybercrime. However, flaws in it apart, something that should be seen on account of the action and the message the film portrays.
