FC Barcelona continued their clean sheet streak in La Liga with a 1-0 win over Cadiz. This win meant that Barcelona had not conceded a goal in La Liga in the last six matches. The last time they had to pick the ball out of their net was against Celta Vigo on February 17th. With this win, FC Barcelona reached the 70-point mark in La Liga this season and maintained their slim chance of winning the title ahead of next week's El Clasico against Real Madrid.

Cadiz has always been a tricky side for the Catalan club, and their lineup filled with youngsters and reserves made the game a competitive one. Joao Felix ultimately proved to be the difference-maker, as his incredible overhead kick gave all three points to Barcelona in a hard-fought win. FC Barcelona currently sits in the second spot, 8 points behind their eternal rivals Real Madrid.

FC Barcelona lacked any creativity in attack and played very boring football. Cadiz, on the other hand, was happy to sit back and play on the counter, but that too posed very little threat to Barcelona's goal. It felt like the half would end goalless, but a moment of brilliance changed everything. Marcos Alonso played a corner that was deflected and fell perfectly for Joao Felix to score an absolutely stunning bicycle kick.

The second half was more eventful, as Cardiz was desperately chasing the game at home, which caused a lot of problems for Barcelona. They even had the ball in the back of the net, but the goal was ruled out for offside. Barcelona did their best to slow down the momentum of the home side and had some success in doing so as well.

The match wasn't entertaining, and nobody expected it either, considering the history these two teams have. FC Barcelona got the three points and avoided any injuries. Xavi will be happy with the result, as he looks forward to his most important game as Barcelona manager next week. Barcelona will face PSG in the second leg of the UCL quarter-finals. The first leg ended 3-2 in favor of Barcelona, and they will be looking to register their place in the semifinals of the competition for the first time in five years.
