Harleen Sethi Gets Inked for Kohrra, Considering It A Tribute To Her Punjabi Heritage
Actress Harleen Sethi is known for her dedication and commitment to her craft, always pushing the boundaries in her performances. Her upcoming project, Kohrra, holds a special place in her heart as it has formed a deep connection with her personal identity. In a heartfelt gesture, Harleen decided to get inked with a Gurmukhi script, symbolizing her character Nimrat from Kohrra.
In a video shared by Harleen, capturing the moment of getting the tattoo, she wrote a touching note alongside it. She expressed, "Nimrat is a part of me. As a Mumbai Ki Mulgi, I had never fully embraced my Punjabi roots and often ran away from them during my childhood. Being born and raised in this cosmopolitan city, I had adopted a more metropolitan attitude that was considered 'cooler.' But as they say, it's never too late, and Kohrra pushed me in the direction of reconnecting with my roots."
Before the filming of Kohrra commenced, after one of the workshops, Harleen approached Sudip sir, the director, with a special request. She asked if she could have the phrase 'Nirbhau Nirvair' engraved on her hand in Gurmukhi. This act represented her desire for something she had previously shied away from to become eternal and accompany her throughout her life, even beyond the grave.
