Panchkula: Employees working under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (Comprehensive Education) in Haryana recently met with Bhupeshwar Dayal, OSD to the Chief Minister, at the Chief Minister's residence to address their concerns and demands. They specifically highlighted their grievances related to the Bye-Laws 2013 and Grade Pay and sought assurance from Dayal that their issues would be resolved.

During the meeting, Dayal assured the employees that their rightful entitlements would be provided. Additionally, he informed them that a delegation would meet with ACS Rajesh Khullar on July 13 to discuss the demands of the instructors in the department.

The Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan employees brought up the fact that during the 7th General Council meeting, the government had clearly stated that all employees engaged by the department would be included in the Bye-Laws. However, many instructors, including Rajat, Paramjit, Abhishek, Sunil, Dharamveer, Sangeeta, and Anil, have been staging a peaceful protest by sitting on dharna for the past 15 days at Shiksha Sadan in Sector-5, Panchkula.

Rajat, the President of the employee group, expressed their frustration over the lack of progress in obtaining their rights. Despite being directly engaged in the Council, the Work Education Instructors have not been covered by the Bye-Laws 2013. Rajat pointed out that in the past 9 years, the honorarium for Work Education Instructors had only increased from Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000, indicating a lack of adequate support from the department.

The protest site behind Shiksha Sadan, Sector-5, Panchkula, witnessed the presence of 366 instructors from various districts of Haryana. These instructors have been working in government schools, imparting skills in music, vocal training, tabla, dance, art & craft, and drama. Their dedication over the past 9 years has played a significant role in motivating Haryana's government school students to reach national levels of achievement.

With their peaceful demonstration and the upcoming meeting with ACS Rajesh Khullar, they hope to address their demands and secure a better future for themselves and their fellow instructors.
