It's a good day for all the Indian Cricket fans as their favorite team has secured their place in the final of the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup. India faced England in the semi-final and although it seemed to be a very difficult test for the team in blue, their hard work and determination led them to register a massive win of 68 runs over England. England won the toss and decided to bowl first but that decision made the Indian Skipper, Rohit Sharma happy as he said that they wanted to bat first anyway.

India lost their veteran batsman Virat Kohli early but a brilliant knock from Rohit Sharma kept the momentum on their side. Rishabh Pant was sent back to the pavilion early as well and it was Suryakumar Yadav who partnered up with Rohit Sharma to build the Indian innings. They formed a massive partnership of 73 runs and rescued India from a very sketchy situation. Rohit Sharma completed his half-century and displayed his class once again and Suryakumar Yadav on the other hand, scored 47 runs in 36 balls as well. Hardik Pandya also contributed to the total as he added 23 crucial runs to the overall total of Team India.

This win means that India will play the T20 World Cup final after 10 long years and they will face South Africa in the final. India managed to put 171 runs on the board and England came short in chasing that by a very big margin. Axar Patel won the Man of the Match award as he picked three crucial wickets to push England on the back foot. Kuldeep Yadav also proved to be effective as he also claimed 3 wickets by giving away just 19 runs.

Captain Jos Buttler came out all guns blazing to give a good start to England but after his dismissal, The Batting lineup of England just crumbled. Harry Brook and Jofra Archer showed some fight with the bat as they both scored 25 and 21 runs respectively but eventually, the massive target set by India proved to be too much for England.

India has a chance to end their drought of winning an ICC tournament against South Africa but it will not be easy considering the fine form South Africa is in. They won by 9 wickets in a one-sided clash against Afghanistan in the semi-final. India has a chance to exorcise their demons of losing the ODI World Cup last year against Australia on their home soil but only time will tell whether they will capitalize on this opportunity or not.
