Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh delivered a resounding message of progress and development during his address at a summit organized by the Indian Steel Association in Lucknow. He emphasized Uttar Pradesh's pivotal role as a growth engine for India's development.

Highlighting the state's investment-friendly environment, the Chief Minister assured investors of the government's commitment to safeguard their investments and provide comprehensive support. He pointed out the significant improvements in law and order over the past six years, leading to a peaceful environment for festivals and VVIP visits. He also commended the successful management of the 2019 Kumbh Mela, accommodating millions of devotees without any disruptions.

Yogi Adityanath stressed Uttar Pradesh's strides in improving ease of doing business, boasting the largest single-window platform for investment in the country. The state has introduced policies for 25 sectors and closely monitors Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) through the 'Nivesh Sarathi' portal.

The Chief Minister highlighted improved air connectivity, with nine operational airports, including three international ones and 10 more set to become operational. This includes new international airports in Ayodhya and Jewar, enhancing the state's connectivity.

He also discussed significant infrastructure developments, including 13 expressways either in operation or under development. Notably, the Purvanchal Expressway, constructed during the pandemic, has reduced travel time between Delhi and Patna to just ten hours. The Bundelkhand region, once economically weak, is now connected via an expressway, reducing travel time from Delhi to Chitrakoot to five hours. The upcoming Ganga Expressway, slated for completion in 2025, will further enhance connectivity between Meerut and Prayagraj, reducing travel time to six hours.

Furthermore, Yogi Adityanath highlighted developments in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision, including the establishment of a multi-modal terminal in Varanasi and progress on dedicated freight corridors in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh. Efforts to construct a multi-modal logistics hub in Dadri and a multi-modal transport hub in Bodaki are also advancing rapidly.

In attendance at the event were prominent figures, including Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta 'Nandi,' Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra, and leaders from the Indian Steel Association and Steel Authority of India. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's address underscored Uttar Pradesh's commitment to being a dynamic driver of India's development journey.
