ISTD Delhi Organized A 2-day Youth Fest With The Theme "Y20: Empowering Youth - Empowering Nation."
The ISTD Youth Fest commenced with great enthusiasm on its first day at the ISTD NHQ premises. The event began with the auspicious lighting of the lamp by notable personalities, including Ms. Anita Chauhan, National President of ISTD, Regional Vice Presidents Ms. Usha Jain and Ms. Rajlakshmi Subramaniam, and the esteemed chief guest, Ms. Sunita Godhara, an Asian Champion International Marathon Runner.
The opening day of the festival witnessed a massive turnout, with youths from various colleges, ISTD members, and organizations in attendance. Exciting activities such as Poster Making Competitions, Graffiti Wall painting, and a captivating performance by a live band enthralled the crowd. The highlight of the day was the inspiring speech delivered by Ms. Sunita Godhara, the only Indian women's Asian Marathon Champion Gold Medallist. Her powerful words motivated the youth, and the event concluded with an outstanding performance by a talented young band.
On the second day, the event was graced by Miss Nandini Gupta, the brand ambassador of ISTD Youth Fest and Femina Miss India World 2023. The day began with the ceremonial lamp lighting by Ms. Nandini Gupta and Ms. Anita Chauhan. Miss Gupta addressed the audience, emphasizing the significance of failures in achieving success and urging the youth to pursue their passions and dreams. She also stressed the importance of giving back to society, stating that acts of love, kindness, and generosity have immeasurable returns.
Miss Gupta praised ISTD for its commitment to promoting the art of giving and return on association. She commended the organization for its path-breaking events focused on learning and development, skill-building, and employment opportunities for the youth. Miss Anita Chauhan, the National President, expressed her gratitude to all the dignitaries and invited everyone to join ISTD, emphasizing its role in transforming careers and rejuvenating the youth through cultural connections and competitions.
The festival aimed to provide a platform for young individuals to showcase their talent and skills while encouraging their active participation. Various activities such as Poster Making Competitions, Graffiti Wall painting, dancing competitions, and cultural connect events were held. A talented live band named Rooh from Jaipur captivated the audience with their performance.
The winners of the Poster Making competition were Miss Harshita Singh (first place), Mr. Garvit Singh (second place), and Mr. Vijayraj Gurjar (third place), with Ms. Ridhi Garg receiving a special prize for her participation. In the Dancing competition, Mr. Vishvendra Singh Solanki secured the first position, followed by Ms. Geetakshi Singh in second place. Miss Nandini Gupta presented the awards to all the winners.
Mr. Hiren Panchal, the Co-Chair of the Youth & Employability Committee, highlighted the journey of the first-ever ISTD Youth Fest and announced its continuation in the following years. The festival also witnessed the participation of numerous recruiters and job seekers in the ISTD placement drive, making it a resounding success.
