Jio AirFiber Set For Commercial Launch On September 19, Marking A Significant Step In Connectivity
During the 46th AGM of Reliance Industries, Chairman Mukesh Ambani announced that Reliance Jio is set to unveil its AirFiber service on Ganesh Chaturthi, September 19. He also emphasized that Jio's progress in the 5G arena remains on track, with plans to blanket the entire country with its high-speed 5G network by December 2023.

Ambani disclosed that Jio's customer base has surged past 450 million subscribers, marking a remarkable year-on-year revenue growth of over 20 percent. Notably, the per-user data consumption on Jio's network has surged, averaging more than 25 GB per month.
Ambani underscored that Jio was initially launched seven years ago with the lofty aim of transforming India into a top-tier digital society. He highlighted the company's investment in crafting a robust Digital Public Infrastructure that has earned global admiration. He stressed Jio's pivotal role in driving India's digital transformation.

He accentuated Jio's unique capability to smoothly migrate its entire 4G customer base to 5G with minimal additional capital expenditure. The transition to Jio's 5G network has also witnessed an uptick in high-ARPU post-paid customers choosing Jio as their preferred network.
