Jyotiraditya Scindia Lists 9-Year Achievements Of PM Narendra Modi's Government
New Delhi: Union Civil Aviation Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia and Delhi BJP President Shri Virendra Sachdeva held a joint press conference to highlight the achievements of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi government over the past 9 years. They emphasized the government's focus on service, good governance, and welfare for the poor.
Minister Scindia mentioned that India has become the fastest-growing economy, the leading consumer of smartphone data, the second-largest mobile manufacturer, and the third-largest start-up ecosystem globally. He highlighted the transformation of India's image from colonial to self-reliant during the Modi government's tenure.
Scindia praised the new Parliament House, which combines modernity with India's ancient culture. He also commended India's vaccination efforts, where the country not only vaccinated its own citizens but also exported 220 crore vaccines to over 100 other countries during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The central government's focus on welfare was emphasized, including the provision of pucca houses to over 3.5 crore families, 11.72 crore izzat ghars (public toilets), tap water to around 12 crore families, and free gas connections to 9 crore 60 lakh families. Additionally, free ration is still being provided to 80 crore poor people under the PM Garib Kalyan Yojana, and the Ayushman Yojana offers free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh.
Scindia highlighted the achievements in the agricultural sector, such as the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Yojana, where the government disbursed Rs 2 lakh 25 thousand crore to the accounts of 11 crore farmers at a rate of Rs 6,000 per year. He also mentioned the efforts made for social development, including the implementation of 10 percent reservation based on economic criteria.
The expansion of infrastructure was another highlight, with the construction of 74 new airports in 9 years compared to the previous 74 built over 68 years. The metro expansion covered 15 cities, and there were notable developments in education and healthcare, including the establishment of new medical colleges, AIIMS, IITs, IIMs, and universities.
Shri Virendra Sachdeva expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the remarkable development work in the country and making every Indian proud globally. He emphasized the achievements in international trade, India's attractiveness to investors and traders, and the recognition of India as a major player in the international market.
Mr. Sachdeva also highlighted the development works undertaken by the central government for the people of Delhi, including education, health, infrastructure, pollution reduction, and the beautification of the Yamuna river. The inauguration of the new Parliament House was mentioned as a matter of pride and respect for all Indians. The installation of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's statue at India Gate and the transformation of the Raj Path into the Kartavya Path were praised as symbols of national identity and pride.
