The Prime Minister extended his best wishes to over five and a half thousand teachers selected for primary schools in Madhya Pradesh on this Rozgar Mela Day. He acknowledged the state's achievement in recruiting about 50 thousand teachers in the past three years, commending the government's efforts.
He emphasized the new teachers' role in implementing the National Education Policy, pivotal for India's development. Traditional knowledge and futuristic technology were both emphasized in the policy, which also introduced a new primary education curriculum and progress in mother tongue education. The Prime Minister criticized the past practice of denying non-English-speaking students education in their mother tongue, highlighting the shift towards regional language materials in the curriculum for a transformative education system.
On a positive note, the Prime Minister cited the decline in poverty and the rise in prosperity, attributing it to positive decisions, good intentions, and integrity. He revealed that NITI Aayog reported that 13.5 crore Indians moved above the poverty line in just five years. Additionally, he shared data indicating a substantial increase in average income over nine years, with the number of people transitioning from lower to upper-income brackets growing.
The Prime Minister underscored the growing trust citizens have in the government, leading to honest tax payments. He linked this trust to the country's improved economic ranking, emphasizing how the government has prevented misuse of funds and directed resources to welfare programs. The resulting investment, like the Common Service Center initiative, generated employment and village development.
He outlined the government's comprehensive approach to education, skill development, and employment, exemplified by the PM Vishwakarma Yojana. This scheme, allocated 13 thousand crore rupees, aims to upgrade traditional skills for contemporary needs. The Prime Minister highlighted the scheme's potential to uplift marginalized sections and equip them with modern tools and training.
Concluding, he congratulated the new teachers on their achievement and encouraged continuous learning. He promoted the IGoT Karmayogi online learning platform as a valuable resource. The Prime Minister emphasized that these educators are vital contributors to India's progress, echoing the sentiment that decisions made with positivity and integrity transform the nation.
