Mahapanchayat In Bharthal Village Sees Thousands Protest Against Outsider Candidates In Bijwasan Assembly.
A Mahapanchayat was organized in Bharthal village of Bijwasan assembly constituency, which attracted thousands of participants. The gathering strongly opposed outsider candidates contesting from the constituency.
The residents said they were not satisfied with the Aam Aadmi Party's 2020 candidate Bhupendra June, who is a resident of Bahadurgarh. They said he did not pay attention to the development needs of Bijwasan and left the area neglected. Now, BJP's Kailash Gehlot, an MLA from Najafgarh for two consecutive terms and a resident of Mitrau village, has thrown his hat into the ring from Bijwasan. Locals however, accused Gehlot of failing to develop Najafgarh and instead ruin the area. They further alleged that he is running away from his constituency to fight in Bijwasan. Community leaders, ranging from village panchayats to colonies and RWAs, united as one for demanding a local candidate. They appealed to the BJP to consider the resident of Bijwasan warning that the constituency would not accept another outsider candidate. The people emphasized their loyalty to the BJP but insisted on a candidate who understands the area's needs and belongs to the constituency.
The notable guests included Khajan Singh, president of Bharthal village panchayat, and Karambir Godara, Azad Rana, Mahendra Rana, Ransingh Surendra, Ajit Godara, ACP Ramavatar, Dayanand Yadav, Omprakash, Balwan Chaudhary, Ashok Yadav, Mahesh Yadav, Lakhwinder, Krishna Sahayata, and Vinod Vats.
