Mahindra & Mahindra informed that the 5-door variant of the popular off-roader Thar would be called 'Mahindra Thar Rocks'. As per Vijay Nakra, President, Automotive Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra, "The Thar Rocks is 'THE' SUV with its different design, premium quality, advanced technology, superior performance, sophistication, and safety. It has the hulking personality of a rockstar while retaining the core features of the iconic Thar, and it will disrupt the SUV category."
The Thar Rocks will bring Mahindra another SUV revolution, making the company stand out and quite an attractive choice in its category.
Key Features
Circular LED headlamps and DRLs: Daytime running lights circled by circular LED headlamps.
Fog lights and taillamps: Fog lights with appealing taillamps for improved visibility.
New grille and redesigned alloy wheels: Stylish new grille and appealing alloy wheels.
360-degree camera setup: 360-degree camera for clear visibility from every view.
Rear door frame handle: Handle on the door frame, further adding to the SUV's look.
Powertrain and Performance
The Mahindra Thar Rocks can share the powertrain with the Mahindra Thar. The following are the engine options:

2.2-litre mHawk 130 CRDe diesel: 132 PS and 300 Nm.
6-speed MT and 6-speed AT: Transmission options.

Thus, the prices of the Mahindra Thar Rocks would be between Rs 12.50 lakh and Rs 18.50 lakh. All prices will be ex-showroom.
