Today, over 56 lakh women in Jharkhand are happy and pleased they can thank their Chief Minister Hemant Soren. About it, people are excited for the Maiya Samman Yojana, whereby ₹5,000 is expected to be transferred to their bank accounts today. From next month onwards, these women will get ₹2,500 per month under the scheme, according to the MoF.

Two years later, on 06/01/2025 Monday, Hon’ble CM Hemant Soren will distribute ₹ 2000 each to the beneficiary released as December and January separate installments of ₹ 5000 for each beneficiary.
To commemorate this auspicious event, there is a big celebration arranged at Khojatoli in Namkum, Ranchi. Every woman from all parts of the state is attending this particular event in Ranchi.

In Ranchi Kokar Chowk, the journalists of Prabhat Khabar interviewed a few women on their way to the programme, asking them about how they would spend the ₹2,500 allowance. As in any conversation, responses differed based on the age and gender of the participant, but focusing on young women and elderly individuals, their vision of how this financial aid will benefit them.

The young women noted that they will use the money basically for mobile recharges and for shopping, while the old women to them that it is necessary for household requirements.
They said they used it for payment of children's tuition fees, to refill LPG cylinders, and other day-to-day expenses. As for the added financial assistance, many said this would greatly help their finances next month.

One theme that was agreed upon by all the decades was that the relief made under the Maiya Samman Yojana was greatly appreciated.
A number of women also reported plans of conserving part of the income for their own or future use as well.

The direct financial support for women has received a warm acceptance as a step towards women’s liberation and overall improvements of the household financial status. The poor woman of Jharkhand has gotten appreciation from the Chief Minister by launching Maiya Samman Yojana, which aims at eradicating economic issues from women’s lives.
