Mission Ekta Samiti's Kanta Aladia Accuses Feudalists Of Land Occupation And Threats, Urging Dalit Unity Against Oppression
In a recent press conference, Kanta Aladia, the State President of Mission Ekta Samiti, made serious allegations against casteists and feudalists, accusing them of occupying 300 bighas of land at Chamarwa Dera and issuing death threats. Aladia asserted that the ongoing struggle to reclaim the land through legal means and public protests has provoked powerful casteists and feudalists, who aim to tarnish his reputation and intimidate him into submission.
Highlighting a specific incident in Rohtak district, Aladia referred to Baba Mastnath Asthal Bohar, a renowned camp with a history dating back 300 years. The camp originally had 900 bighas of Panchayati land, established by Baba Mastnath, encompassing three traditions: Kanpada Baba, Naga Baba, and Aughad Peer Baba. Notably, Aughad Peer Baba belonged to the Dalit community (Chamar caste), and this legacy has continued for eight generations, with Mahant Baba Ramesh Nath currently holding the legal rights.
Aladia explained that three generations ago, the Health Minister of Haryana Government, who was also the Mahant of Kanpada Gaddi, acquired 600 bighas of land and allocated the funds to Kanpada Dera. However, the remaining 300 bighas are still occupied by Kanpada Gaddi, and during the lockdown on May 3, 2020, the mausoleums of Dalit community saints were demolished by Baba Balak Nath, a known anti-Dalit casteist and feudalist.
Expressing concern for his safety, Aladia warned that the casteist and feudalist Mahant could potentially attack him and his family. He appealed to the community, urging them to unite and fight earnestly to protect the camp's land. Aladia emphasized the violation of legal and road rights by the occupiers, emphasizing the significance of the ongoing battle being waged by Aughad Math against casteists and feudalists. In conclusion, he called on the people to safeguard their camp land through collective efforts and honest engagement in the fight for justice.
