NDMC Conducts Suvidha Camp At NDCC Convention Centre To Address And Resolve Public Grievances Effectively
The discussions were face-to-face, allowing for a more personalized approach to problem-solving.
The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) recently organized a Suvidha Camp at the NDCC Convention Centre on Jai Singh Road, New Delhi. The primary objective of the camp was to provide information, facilitation, and address grievances for the residents and service users in the NDMC area. The event saw active participation, with 54 grievances submitted by the public, covering a range of issues related to various NDMC departments such as Personnel, Civil Engineering, Horticulture, Public Health, Enforcement, Commercial, Tax, and Estate.
The Suvidha Camp served as a platform for local residents and service users to interact directly with officials from different NDMC departments. Over a hundred officers and officials from 30 departments were present at the camp, manning help desks for on-the-spot redressal of grievances. The discussions were face-to-face, allowing for a more personalized approach to problem-solving.
Grievances that required policy-level decisions were addressed comprehensively, with officials explaining the likely timelines for their redressal. The presence of department heads at the help desks ensured efficient supervision and coordination. This initiative aimed to enhance transparency and accountability in the resolution of public grievances.
In addition to the Suvidha Camp, the NDMC introduced a "Jan Suvidha Portal" to offer a contactless grievance redressal mechanism. This online platform allows residents and service users to lodge grievances, track their status, and provide feedback on the redressal mechanism. The Jan Suvidha Portal reflects the council's commitment to embracing technology for improved civic services and ensuring that residents have an accessible and efficient means to voice their concerns.
The NDMC's multi-faceted approach, combining physical camps with online portals, underscores its dedication to creating a responsive and citizen-centric governance model. By actively engaging with the community, addressing grievances promptly, and leveraging technology for remote complaint resolution, the NDMC strives to enhance the overall civic experience for residents in the New Delhi area.
