Parthala Bridge Inaugurated By CM Yogi Adityanath, Relieving Traffic Between Noida and Greno West
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the long-awaited Parthala flyover during his visit to Noida. The Parthala suspension bridge, inspired by Delhi's Signature Bridge, is Noida's first cable-stayed bridge. The technologically advanced flyover aims to alleviate traffic congestion by connecting Noida with Greater Noida West (Noida Extension).
The construction of the Parthala flyover began before the Covid-19 pandemic and was initially scheduled for completion in 2022. However, after facing several delays, the bridge has finally been opened to the public. It is expected to greatly improve connectivity in the area and facilitate smoother commuting for residents and commuters.

The Parthala Bridge, situated on the FNG Corridor, serves as a crucial link connecting Noida to Greater Noida West and Ghaziabad to Faridabad. With a capacity to accommodate 200,000 vehicles, the bridge provides a convenient route for those traveling from Noida sectors 120, 119, 122, and 72 to reach Greater Noida West. Additionally, those coming from Greater Noida and Faridabad on the FNG corridor can now reach Ghaziabad without encountering traffic congestion.
The Parthala Flyover is equipped with a high-tech structural monitoring system that constantly assesses its stability. Sensors are installed throughout the bridge, including on each supporting cable, to ensure its safety. The Electromagnetic Force Monitoring System serves as the foundation for these sensors, enabling the detection of vibrations and earthquakes. In case of any potential hazards, warning alarms can be activated promptly.
While the Parthala Bridge has been opened to the public, the construction of the Greater Noida West Metro is still pending final approval. This metro project aims to connect Sector 51 on the Aqua Line to Sector 3 in Greater Noida West, with five stations planned for the first phase. Once completed, the metro will further enhance the connectivity and accessibility of the region, catering to the increasing population and addressing the concerns of residents regarding inadequate infrastructure.
Overall, the inauguration of the Parthala flyover marks a significant milestone in the development of Noida and Greater Noida West. The bridge's advanced features and improved connectivity will undoubtedly benefit the residents and commuters, easing traffic congestion and facilitating smoother travel experiences in the area.
