Realme India recently unveiled the Realme Pad 2, which serves as a "true" successor to the Realme Pad from 2021. The tablet comes with a significant upgrade in its display, featuring an 11.2-inch LCD panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate. However, Realme hasn't specified the exact resolution, only referring to it as 2K. The screen also offers dynamic refresh rate adjustment, supporting 40/60/120 Hz options.
Another notable improvement is the larger 8,360 mAh battery, which supports 33 Watt fast charging. Users can enjoy up to 17 hours of video playback on the device, although this figure may decrease at higher refresh rates like 120 Hz. The Realme Pad 2 introduces a "Reading Mode," which simulates an e-ink display to reduce eye strain during extended use.
On the processor front, Realme has chosen the MediaTek Helio G99, a budget-friendly SoC introduced in 2022. The top-spec version allows users to expand their RAM by up to 8 GB, which can be useful for utilizing split-screen mode and running two apps simultaneously. Additionally, the tablet's software enables screen mirroring with select Realme smartphones, primarily from the GT series.

Regarding the camera, the Realme Pad 2 retains the same setup as its predecessor, featuring a single 8 MP rear camera module. Information about the front-facing camera is currently unavailable. The availability of micro SD card support for further memory expansion is also unclear at this time.

The Realme Pad 2 comes in two models, with the base variant offering 6 GB of memory and 128 GB of storage. Prices start at INR 19,999 (approximately US$243). The top-spec version with 8 GB of RAM and other improvements costs INR 22,999 (approximately US$280). Both models are LTE-ready, and there are no Wi-Fi-only versions available yet.
Pre-orders for the Realme Pad 2 begin on July 26, and sales officially start on August 1. The tablet is available in two color options: Imagination Grey and Inspiration Green.
