Xiaomi has maintained its tradition of unveiling a mid-cycle flagship smartphone aimed primarily at global markets, and this time it's the Xiaomi 13T Pro. The standout feature of this release is the partnership with Leica, renowned for its photography expertise, setting it apart from last year's 12T Pro. This collaboration gives European fans an enticing Leica-branded option for their next smartphone upgrade, alongside the more premium 13, 13 Pro, and 13 Ultra models.

The Xiaomi 13T Pro, in essence, is the international version of China's Redmi K60 Ultra, sharing a nearly identical design but distinguishing itself with Leica's photographic enhancements and Google services integration. Notably, the 13T Pro boasts superior camera hardware to earn Leica's approval, featuring a 50-megapixel main camera with a generous 1.22um pixel size, enhancing photo quality even though it doesn't match the 1-inch sensor's 1.6um pixels found in top-tier flagship devices. Furthermore, pixel-binning technology allows it to achieve a 2.44um-equivalent effect.

The camera setup also includes a 50-megapixel f/1.9 telephoto camera (50mm-equivalent) and a 12-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide camera (15mm-equivalent). All three cameras benefit from Leica Authentic and Leica Vibrant color modes, with the telephoto camera offering versatile options in portrait mode, emulating various lens styles.

The device sports a 20-megapixel punch-hole selfie camera that supports night mode, portrait mode, and HDR. The 6.67-inch flat AMOLED display boasts a 144Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate, 2,712 x 1,220 resolution, and an impressive peak brightness of 2,600 nits, supporting Dolby Vision and HDR10+. Importantly, the display's fast 2,880Hz PWM dimming reduces eye fatigue.

The Xiaomi 13T Pro is powered by a robust 5,000mAh battery supporting 120W "HyperCharge," enabling a full charge in just 19 minutes, with a 5-minute charge providing 36% battery capacity. To ensure safety and battery longevity, Xiaomi employs a dual-chip system comprising the Surge G1 power management chipset and the Surge P1 fast-charging chipset.

This flagship device is IP68-rated for dust and water resistance and runs on MIUI 14 based on Android 13, promising four years of Android updates and five years of security patches. The Xiaomi 13T Pro comes in sleek green or black with a glossy glass back or "Alpine Blue" featuring a soft "BioComfort vegan leather" back.

With its Leica partnership, impressive camera setup, lightning-fast charging, and other premium features, the Xiaomi 13T Pro is set to captivate smartphone enthusiasts. While the pricing details are yet to be revealed, it's expected to offer excellent value for its specifications and features.
