Along with the mentioned field restrictions, a fine of Rs 12 lakh is imposed on the captain for the first offense, with the following breaches leading to doubling the penalty to Rs 24 lakh and extending it to all the players in the starting XI.
When an IPL team repeats the offense for the third time, the punishment gets worse. The captain's fine goes up to Rs 30 lakh, and he also gets banned from playing one match.
