Simple Energy has recently launched its budget-friendly electric scooter, the Dot One, in the Indian market with a revised starting price of Rs 1.40 lakh, ex-showroom. Despite an initial announcement of a Rs 1 lakh price tag for those who pre-booked the flagship Simple One, the introductory pricing for the Dot One has seen an increase. Bookings for the scooter are set to open on January 27, requiring a token amount of Rs 1,947. Priority deliveries will be given to customers transitioning from the Simple One to the Dot One.

The Simple Dot One, available in a single variant, boasts an impressive fixed battery that offers a remarkable range of 160 km in IDC, making it the leader in its segment for electric two-wheelers. The scooter is presented in four standard colors: Namma Red, Brazen Black, Grace White, and Azure Blue. Additionally, in response to consumer demand, the Dot One will also be available in LightX and BrazenX color options, providing variety and customization.

The scooter sets itself apart as the fastest in its segment, accelerating from 0 to 40 mph in an impressive 2.77 seconds. Its road performance is enhanced by 12-inch wheels on both ends, paired with 90-90 tubeless tires. The Dot One is powered by a 3.7 kWh battery capacity and an 8.5 kW electric motor, delivering a peak torque output of 72 Nm. Safety features include CBS and efficient disc brakes, ensuring a secure riding experience.

The Dot One comes equipped with a spacious 35-liter under-seat storage, addressing practical needs. The user-friendly touchscreen instrument cluster enhances the riding experience by offering diverse functionality and seamless app connectivity. Deliveries will commence in Bangalore initially, followed by a phased rollout in other cities.
