Stree 2 Trailer Review: Rajkummar Rao & Shraddha Kapoor Are Back Together To Fight Another Foe

First teaser of the much awaited Hindi movie of the year “Stree 2” has been launched. Amar Kaushik who directed Stree 2 is an Indian movie director who directed Stree which was made with nearly Rs 200 crore in the worldwide gross collection in 2018. Since the release of Stree, Maddock Films, the producers have created a series of movies set in what they call the “Stree universe”. Another film added to this universe is “Munjya” which also fared well on the box office crossing worldwide collections of Rs 130 crore.

The trailer starting of “Stree 2” begins with voice-over where people are seen discussing a new incurable villain called – ‘Sarkate’; a headless horseman like figure similar to ‘Sleepy Hollow,’ terrorizing the town once again. To fight this new avatar of the enemy, the three main characters – Vicky, Jana, and Bittu – call for the help of Shraddha Kapoor’s character from the initial part. She comes out like a ball of fire, and like a gymnast, gives somersaults, and joins the trio and the wise Rudra to fight this new villain.

Most of the scenes in the trailer are shot with added effect and scary climaxes to make the audience feel easily scared. But it does not lose the sarcastic remarks that are expected from the audience of the much-loved franchise. There are reactions making fun of the movie ‘Kabir Singh’ and the recent meme ‘Sonam bewafa hai’ and few related to Rajkummar Rao.

Once again, the designation “Stree 2” is significant because before Stree: Gpuuh Maaro Hain was a sequel in the Stree franchise, it was the first direct sequel in the Stree franchise un Anoop Kapoor. It casts back the main characters of original movie Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, and Pankaj Tripathi. Others included Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana who are part of the cast developed from the first part. All actors saw an increase in public reception since “Stree. ”

 Rajkummar Rao films for the year include “Mr & Mrs Mahi” and “Srikanth. ” Pankaj Tripathi featured in the highly anticipated third season of “Mirzapur, ” while Shraddha Kapoor acted with Ranbir Kapoor in "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar."

Stree 2 will hit the theatres on the eve of Independence Day and aims to capture the praises of viewers like its predecessor did. Fans are eagerly awaiting to see how the story unfolds and how the characters evolve in this new installment. The combination of horror and comedy, along with a beloved cast, promises to make "Stree 2" another hit in the franchise.
