Swati Maliwal Claims Death Threats Following Controversial Video Release By YouTuber Dhruv Rathee
Swati also alleged that AAP senior leaders were pressurizing her to withdraw the complaint.
AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal on Sunday said she received rape and death threats. The former chief of the Delhi Commission for Women also alleged that party workers waged a campaign to discredit her. Along with this, Swati accused YouTuber Dhruv Rathi of being responsible for the harassment. He claimed that he was threatened only after Dhruva's biased video.
Swati tweeted on Sunday. He said that AAP leaders and workers are campaigning against his personality. I'm trying to confuse him. Feelings against him are running high. “In this situation, I was threatened with rape and murder. The harassment intensified after the biased video of YouTuber Dhruv Rathi.” Swati also alleged that AAP senior leaders were pressurizing her to withdraw the complaint. Accused of making allegations against Dhruv, Dhruv did not respond to Swati's calls and messages but tried to contact the YouTuber to defend herself.

In her tweet Swati Said "After the leaders and volunteers of my party i.e. AAP orchestrated a campaign of charachter assassination, victim shaming and fanning of emotions against me, I have been getting rape and death threats. This got further exacerbated when YouTuber Dhruv Rathee posted a one-sided video against me. As far as the party leadership goes, it is very clear that they are trying to intimidate me into withdrawing my complaint. However, for Dhruv, I tried my best to reach out to him to tell him my version but he ignored my calls and messages. It is shameful that people like him, who claim to be independent journalists could act like other AAP spokespersons and victim shame me to the extent that I am now facing extreme abuses and threats".

On May 13, Swati went to meet Arvind Kejriwal at his residence. There he was suddenly attacked by Vaibhav Kumar, former secretary to the chief minister! Delhi Police arrested him. Arvind Kejriwal and Kejri's parents are being questioned over the incident. Meanwhile, AAP is alleging that Garshatru Swati is working as an agent of the BJP. His intention is to harm the AP and CM of Delhi. This is all a political conspiracy.
