Triumph has introduced the Daytona 660, a sporty motorcycle set to make its mark on the Indian market with a starting price of Rs 9.20 Lakh. This two-wheeler, available in 1 variant and 3 colours, offers enthusiasts a powerful and stylish option for their riding adventures.
The heart of the Triumph Daytona 660 is its robust 660cc liquid-cooled in-line 3-cylinder engine. This powerhouse delivers an impressive 95 PS of power at 11,250rpm and a torque of 69 Nm at 8,250rpm. Notably, these figures represent a substantial increase of 15 PS in power and 5 Nm in torque compared to the Trident 660, showcasing the bike's enhanced performance. The engine is coupled with a 6-speed gearbox and features a slip-and-assist clutch for smooth gear transitions.
The motorcycle boasts a sophisticated suspension setup, including a 41mm Showa upside-down (USD) fork with 110mm wheel travel at the front and a Showa monoshock with 130mm wheel travel at the rear. Braking is handled by twin 310mm front disc brakes equipped with 4-piston radial calipers, complemented by a single 220mm disc with a single-piston sliding caliper at the rear.
The Triumph Daytona 660 exhibits a striking design, featuring an underbelly exhaust, tall clip-on handlebars, and a twin-LED headlight setup that adds to its aesthetic appeal. The bike is equipped with a TFT instrument console that provides riders with essential information at a glance. Additionally, the motorcycle offers three distinct ride modes - Sport, Road, and Rain - catering to various riding preferences and conditions.
While the Daytona 660 has been launched in the UK, the anticipation grows for its arrival in the Indian market, with expectations pointing towards March 2024. Enthusiasts in India can look forward to experiencing the power, agility, and style that the Triumph Daytona 660 brings to the streets.
The starting price for the Triumph Daytona 660 in India is set at Rs 9.20 Lakh. This competitive pricing, combined with the bike's impressive specifications and design, positions it as an attractive option for riders seeking a high-performance sportbike.
