In anticipation of the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uber has strategically launched electric auto-rickshaw services to provide convenient and cost-effective transportation solutions for both locals and tourists. The initiative aims to cater to the heightened demand for rides during the event and is accessible through the Uber mobile app. Additionally, Uber plans to introduce UberGo and Uber Intercity services in the surrounding areas of Ayodhya, with the intercity option connecting every city in Uttar Pradesh.

Expressing enthusiasm about this expansion, Prabhjeet Singh, President of Uber India, highlighted the potential for generating new earning opportunities in the local area. He emphasized that the move would not only benefit the community but also provide diverse mobility options, enhancing the overall transportation ecosystem.

Scheduled for January 22, the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir is a significant event, with Lord Ram set to be enthroned in the newly-built structure. To accommodate the anticipated influx of tourists, Uber's services are designed to boost tourism in Ayodhya by offering convenient, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly transportation choices.

The event is expected to draw a substantial number of tourists, prompting Uber to provide a comprehensive range of transportation options to meet diverse user needs in the Ayodhya region. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are slated to attend the ceremony, with preparations including a special 11-day ritual declared by Prime Minister Modi. The Uttar Pradesh government is also constructing the largest floating screen in India at Ayodhya's Chaudhary Charan Singh Ghat, which will be set up at Aarti Ghat to showcase the ceremony and various programs highlighting Ayodhya's rich history.

This strategic move by Uber not only addresses the transportation needs of attendees during the ceremony but also aligns with the broader goal of contributing to the local economy and promoting sustainable and diverse mobility solutions in the Ayodhya region.
