Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon: National Capital Readies All Participants To Be Honored With Exclusive Vedanta Zinc Finisher Medal
The USD 268,000 prize money World Athletics Gold Label Road Race is set to commence from the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Sunday, October 15. This event is anticipated to draw tens of thousands of amateur runners, alongside esteemed athletes like World Championships Silver Medalist Daniel Ebenyo and Rio Olympic Gold Medalist Almaz Ayana. The race has long been a symbol of sporting excellence, overseen by the International Event Ambassador, two-time Olympic Champion Ashton Eaton.
Participants have the opportunity to register for various race categories, including the Half Marathon, the Great Delhi Run (approximately 4.5km), the Senior Citizens’ Run, and the Champions with Disability Run (approximately 2.5km). Registration is open until 11:59 p.m. on September 30, 2023, or until all available spots are filled, whichever occurs earlier.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced special services on race day to facilitate participants' commute to the start lines. The lifeline of the city will operate from 4 a.m. onwards with a 30-minute headway.
Additionally, the event introduces the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon Virtual Run, allowing participants from around the world to join in via the exclusive app. This virtual experience includes categories such as the Half Marathon, Open 10K, and the Great Delhi Run, with registration available until 11:59 PM on October 11, 2023.
