Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted the significance of International Yoga Day, stating that 180 countries were celebrating and appreciating India's sage tradition. During his visit to Ballia, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 144 development projects valued at Rs 3638.25 crore. He emphasized the leadership of India's Prime Minister in the United Nations and mentioned the beautification and expansion of a hospital, along with the launch of a Health ATM in the village.

CM Yogi, accompanied by Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha Harivansh, visited Sitab Diyara, the village of Loknayak Jai Prakash Narayan. He noted the transformation of the village situated at the confluence of the Ganga and Sarayu rivers, now connected through the inland waterways service between Haldia and Varanasi, via Ballia. This development can facilitate the export of fresh vegetables, and the government pledged to build cold storage facilities for product safety.

Yogi Adityanath acknowledged the significance of the land, belonging to Saint Sevadas, Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan, and former Prime Minister Chandrashekhar Singh. He mentioned the upcoming campaign to save democracy, commemorating JP's role in revitalizing India's democracy during the Emergency.

The Chief Minister highlighted the state government's efforts to establish and expand a hospital in memory of Prabhavati, fulfilling Loknayak's wish to dedicate the hospital to his wife's name. Additionally, the revival of an Inter College named after Mrs. Prabhavati Devi was approved, with additional funds allocated.

During the program, three passenger buses of the Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation were flagged off, and certificates were distributed to beneficiaries of various government schemes. Several ministers, including Minister of State for Transport Dayashankar Singh, Minister of State for AYUSH and Food Safety and Drug Administration Dr. Dayashankar Mishra 'Dayalu,' and Minister of State for Minority Welfare Danish Mirza Ansari, were present at the occasion.
