Yuma Energy Teams With MCD And BSES Rajdhani To Boost Electric Two-Wheelers For Deliveries
As part of the collaboration, Yuma Energy will set up battery-swapping stations across Delhi in a move to support the evolving e-mobility ecosystem in the capital. Yuma currently supports half a million swaps and serves 125,000 customers every month, resulting in four clean deliveries every second across Q-commerce and food delivery platforms throughout the region.
New Delhi: Yuma Energy, an innovative Energy-as-a-Service company resulting from the collaboration between Magna and Yulu, has teamed up with officials from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) to inaugurate a cutting-edge battery swapping station at Siri Fort Auditorium in Delhi. The purpose of this strategic move is to bolster the burgeoning e-mobility ecosystem within the city.
At the forefront of India's electric mobility transformation, Yuma operates an extensive network of battery charging and swapping stations tailored for electric two-wheelers. Boasting a robust presence across major urban centers like Bengaluru, Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, and Navi Mumbai, Yuma's network encompasses over 120 Yuma Stations. This expansive infrastructure facilitates an impressive half a million swaps each month, effectively serving 125,000 customers. The impact is remarkable, contributing to four clean deliveries per second across platforms associated with Quick-commerce (Q-commerce) and food delivery services.
Muthu Subramanian, the adept Managing Director and General Manager of Yuma Energy extended gratitude towards MCD and BRPL for their steadfast support in expediting the adoption of electric mobility within the Delhi region. Expressing optimism, Subramanian affirmed their commitment to collaborative growth as they align with MCD and BRPL's green-mobility pursuits, aiming to further expand Yuma's presence within Delhi.
Amit Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of MCD, emphasized the institution's dedicated efforts to forge an optimal e-mobility ecosystem within Delhi. He lauded the inauguration of the battery swapping station at Siri Fort Auditorium, executed by Yuma Energy, a distinguished EV charging infrastructure partner of BRPL. Kumar aspired for this collaboration to fortify electric vehicle transportation in Delhi, hoping that Yuma's state-of-the-art EV charging infrastructure would deliver an exceptional charging experience to the city's residents.
Sanjeev Gupta, Senior Vice President of BSES Rajdhani Power Limited, underscored their leadership role in bolstering e-vehicle infrastructure across Delhi. This collaboration to establish battery-swapping stations, located in the heart of the nation's capital, stands as a testament to their ongoing endeavors. Gupta reaffirmed their commitment to innovation in tandem with like-minded partners, aiming to propel Delhi towards its rightful status as the electric vehicle capital of India.
